Tourism and Archaeological Center Architect

APJM is seeking a qualified architect to build a Tourism and Archaeological Center at the entrance of Jabal Moussa Biosphere Reserve, Qehmez, that would serve as Tourism information center, a center for the Phoenicians’ Route, and a Museum-like exhibition.
The center will be a two-floor building, with an outdoor space that would serve as entrance, meeting point, with parking space.
The basement will include a conference room and storage space.
The ground floor will include:
- a room to welcome visitors, where the guard provides information about Jabal Moussa, the Phoenicians’ route, and to exhibit food and handicraft products
- a permanent exhibition room, to exhibit finds and information about archaeological sites in Jabal Moussa, and on the cultural route in Adonis Valley
- a temporary exhibition room, that would include exhibits about other topics, such as the natural heritage
Project background and financing:
The project “Cultural Routes for Sustainable Social and economic Development in Mediterranean”, CROSSDEV, is financed by the European Union in the framework of the ENI CBC Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme 2014-2020.

- Plumbing plan
- Electricity plan
- Exterior and interior design concept
- Floor plan
- Official works
- Prepare documents required to acquire the necessary permits
- Supervision of the work

Language of the Contract, Reports and Communication:
The language of the contract and of all written communication, including reports, between the architect and APJM, shall be English.
- At least 10 years of experience in architecture
- Mandatory: previous experience in a related project: cultural project, tourism welcoming center, museum
- Optional: previous experience in handicap friendly facilities; and in ecofriendly buildings
