PURPOSE OF POSITION:  

The Videographer/Editor will work on the UK-funded National Security Assistance Programme which seeks to strengthen resilience of the Lebanese army. The programme will prioritise sustaining and enhancing capabilities of the LAF to maintain stability and provide effective, accountable, security across Lebanon, particularly along the land border with Syria and around flashpoint areas. The video editor will provide support in creating, producing and editing video content for an online client facing website. The video products will highlight different programme activities in Lebanon with the Lebanese Armed Forces. The individual will work under the overall supervision of BTAT StratCom Mentor and in close collaboration with the programme’s Strategic Analysis and Insights Group (SAIG). Dependent on need, all video equipment can be provided by the programme. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The video editor position includes the following assigned duties. 

Collaborate with the SAIG team to determine their video needs and vision 

Plan and execute video shoots, including lighting, sound, and camera operation 

Edit raw footage to create engaging content and videos (sometimes on a fast turn around) 

Add graphics, animation, and other effects as needed 

Collaborate with other team members to ensure all projects are completed on time  

Manage and maintain all video equipment 

Stay up-to-date on industry trends and techniques 

Maintain and organise production archive  

Create subtitles/translations (timestamped) for video products 

QUALIFICATIONS

Fluent in both Arabic and English 

Experience in videography and video editing 

Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects 

Strong understanding of lighting, sound, and camera operation 

Creative and innovative approach to video production 

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously 

Strong communication and collaboration skills 

Graphic design experience is a plus 

Photography experience is a plus 

KEY DELIVERABLES: 

High quality videos that can be used on the programme client facing website and various communications platform. 

Raw footage and the final products will be delivered on hard drive, MS Drive, and uploaded to programme client facing website.
