We are looking for an experienced & motivated Trainer/NGO to train our project team in Narrowing the Gap in Child Protection for vulnerable children in and around the Palestinian Refugee Camps & Gatherings of Saida & Sour.  The comprehensive training workshop is designed for PSS Trainers and Social Workers working in child protection, psychosocial support, and case management. The objectives of the workshop are to provide participants with knowledge and skills in safe identification and referral, case management, psychosocial first aid, and child development stages.

Objectives: The objectives of this training workshop are:

1.     To provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of safe identification and referral processes, including how to assess the severity of a situation and make appropriate referrals to support services.

2.     To equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively practice case management, including how to build rapport with clients, assess their needs, develop individualized plans for support, and monitor and evaluate their progress.

3.     To educate participants on PFA: Psychosocial First Aid, including how to provide practical and emotional support to individuals in the aftermath of a traumatic event, and to help them cope with stress and emotional distress.

4.     To enhance participants' knowledge of child development, including the physical, cognitive, and social/emotional changes that occur during each stage of development and the implications for practice.

 

Targeted Participants: This training workshop is designed for PSS Trainers and Social Workers who are working in the field of child protection, psychosocial support, and case management.

Content: The workshop will cover the following topics in detail:

Safe Identification and Referral: Participants will be familiar with the key elements of safe identification, including the signs and symptoms of abuse, neglect, and exploitation, and how to make appropriate referrals to support services.

Case Management: Participants will explore the principles and practices of case management, including how to assess the needs of clients, develop individualized plans for support, and monitor and evaluate their progress.

PFA- Psychosocial First Aid: Participants will learn about the key elements of PFA, including how to provide practical and emotional support to individuals in the aftermath of a traumatic event, and how to help them cope with stress and emotional distress.

Child Development Stages: Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the physical, cognitive, and social/emotional changes that occur during each stage of development and the implications for practice.

Methods: The workshop will use a variety of interactive and engaging methods to deliver the content, including Lectures;  Group discussions; Role-plays; and Case studies: 

Facilitator: The workshop will be facilitated by a certified trainer or a specialized firm with extensive experience in Safe Identification, Case Management, PFA, Child Protection, and related fields. The facilitator should have a strong track record of delivering high-quality training workshops and should be able to create a supportive and engaging learning environment.

Location: The training workshop will be held in Siblin - Wadi Zeineh.

Date: The workshop is planned to take place in February or March 2023.

Duration: The workshop is planned to run for the max. 10 days.

Evaluation: the trainer is required to evaluate the workshop through a combination of pre-and post-test assessments, feedback forms, and participant observation. 

This cost includes the preparation, delivery, and evaluation of the training, and the final report.

Detailed curriculum vitae of the proposed facilitator, highlighting their experience and qualifications

Evidence of previous training delivered.

 Proof of certification or qualifications.

Any relevant certifications or licenses are required to conduct the workshop.
