Start Your Own Business ONLINE Program at Amideast

Starting a business can be an exciting and thrilling step for any upcoming entrepreneur. However, it requires a lot planning, strategizing, making key financial decisions, and completing a series of activities. The Start Your Own Business program covers a holistic view covering all founding steps needed to start a business!

Local successful entrepreneurs and subject experts will be available to answer questions and provide advice throughout the duration of the program. Upon the completion of the program, you will also continue receiving support through a number of ongoing activities including:

  • Additional training sessions and support 
  • Networking opportunities with community members and ecosystem partners

Workshop Schedule over Zoom:

  • Schedule: Weekly basis (Every Thursday with the exception of some Tuesdays)
  • Time: 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
  • Duration: 15 sessions
  • Dates: Thursday, October 05 until Tuesday, December 19, 2023

Workshop Fees: 

The course cost is USD 350 including taxes and material. Fees can be paid in LBP at market rate with the possibility of scholarship funding and payment facilities for Lebanese residing in Lebanon.

  • In order to register for this workshop, kindly fill out this registration form. Registration is based on first-come-first-served.
  • Payment for the online course can be done via Amideast offices (cash in LBP or USD), bank deposit (in LBP or USD), or via Wakilni pickup services (cash USD or LBP). 

Due to the limited availability of seats per workshop, early registration is strongly recommended to guarantee your seat.

  • Limited partial scholarships are available for serious Lebanese entrepreneurs residing in Lebanon and committed to the success of their business and are currently facing a dire financial situation. EXPECTED OUTCOMES The Start Your Own Business workshop is a comprehensive and practical workshop focused on how to successfully start and run your business. You will learn to: Develop the mindset and personal skills of a successful entrepreneur Develop personal development skills for work-life balance Evaluate business potential Develop a business model canvas Get introduced to lean canvas methodology Develop a business plan Understand key factors related to starting a business, including legal issues, insurance coverage needed, helpful technological skills, etc. Identify funding sources and understand how to apply for funding Assess risk and feasibility Plan and think strategically Price products and services Filter, qualify, and drive potential customers to a business Manage accounting and cash flow Market and sell services and products Manage human resources Market and scale a business Prepare a successful pitch
