POSITION DESCRIPTION

The position will serve as the point of contact for a project launched by the USAID-funded Trade and Investment Facilitation (TIF) activity, implemented by Amideast and focused on digital marketing for hotels. The project coordinator will be responsible for the implementation of all project activities under the supervision of the Director of Entrepreneurship and Professional Development at Amideast. The project coordinator will be based between Amideast and the Lebanese Hotel Association. The project coordinator will be responsible for the daily management of project activities, including data collection, logistics, communication, administration, scheduling, and liaison and follow-up with beneficiaries.  This position will be a parttime position over a period of one year.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Coordination

  • Serve as the Project focal point
  • Responsible for the daily coordination of project activities, including data collection, outreach, scheduling logistics, communication, partner engagement, recruitment, administration, and liaison and follow-up with beneficiaries, donors, and stakeholders, etc.
  • Regularly review and update project workplan and implement project activities
  • Support in the implementation of project timelines, deadlines, and compliance requirements in collaboration with other Amideast staff
  • Support program advertising and dissemination plan to attract optimal candidates to take part in the project activities
  • Support in the project related communication and answer all queries and troubleshoot challenges

Monitoring and Evaluation and Reporting

  • Lead on collecting and reporting data related to the progress of beneficiaries
  • Maintain regular written and oral reporting with the Director of Entrepreneurship and Professional Development on targets achieved and progress of project activities as agreed-upon in the detailed work plans and challenges faced.
  • Develop and maintain project records such as monthly reports, attendance sheets, success stories, database, and records of decisions
  • Support in coordinating regular monitoring of field activities and visits to collect data and ensure the successful implementation activities
  • Support in tracking of project outputs, deliverables, and reporting on KPIs as agreed upon in the project workplan

Logistics, Finance and Administration

  • Coordinate with Amideast to track and project support documentation needed for logistic, finance and administration including timesheet, attendance sheets, invoices, receipts, data sheets, surveys, etc.
  • Respect and follow-up on donor policies, procedures, reporting requirements, templates, procurement and other
  • Take on additional duties and responsibilities, as needed

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS Required

  • A bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in business, hospitality, hotel management, social sciences, communication, media, or other related fields.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in coordinating development project with local NGOs and/or INGOs
  • Working knowledge of finance, M&E, social media and other
  • Computer literate in MS Office
  • Proven English & Arabic Language writing and editing skills
  • High sense of attention to details and has the ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must possess organization, problem-solving skills and manage time efficiently
  • Able to work under pressure and meet short deadlines and is used to work remotely
  • Approachable and professional
  • Applicant must be based in Lebanon and can legally work in Lebanon

Preferred

  • Knowledge of hospitality and hotel sector in Lebanon
  • Social media skills preferred
