Position Summary:

The Food & Emergency Assistance Field Coordinator is responsible for providing key deliverables as requested by Project Managers and the respective Area Manager.  This position provides and monitors field service activities.  This position reports to the Project Manager Area Manager. This position does not have any direct reports.

 

Success in this position requires an individual to have good organizational skills and an attention to detail.  This position requires a proficient understanding of project management and customer service.  

 

General Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Monitors field service activities
  • Provides general support and performs on-site services 
  • Plans project implementation activities and monitors progress 
  • Ensure quality reporting for internal use on status of on-going programs.
  • Assist in development of tracking and monitoring tools to ensure the program implementation achieves goals.
  • Provide program partners with day-to-day support and coordination. 
  • Troubleshoot any administrative problems and report any challenges to the Project Manager.
  • Prepare and submit financial reports and other documentation as needed 
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports to be submitted to Project Manager.  
  • Contribute to quarterly reports and other ad hoc reports as required
  • Provide capacity building training and programs as needed
  • Provides frequent feedback to project/ program managers
  • Ensure partners maintain safe, clean, and organized environments.
  • Serve as a liaison between communities and Anera office; maintain good relationships with beneficiaries and local leaders/authorities; and represent Anera while in the field.
  • Report immediately and problems arising during implementation including monitoring child/youth abuse, maltreatment, hazardous situation, and safety measures.
  • Implement the daily field activities for the project under the supervision of the PM and deliver objectives and tasks on-time and to a high quality 
  • Support in the assessment to identify beneficiaries with specific attention to needs of women, men, boys and girls affected by the economic crisis
  • Support regular data entry and data cleaning 
  • Work with the team in a highly efficient manner, prioritizing needs and targets, and reporting in a clear and concise manner on the progress of these
  • Identify high-risk cases and refer to other Anera programs or relevant specialized agencies for immediate assistance 
  • Apply a protection lens throughout the process in order to detect protection needs and refer to the appropriate focal point 
  • Communicate and coordinate with communities, local partners and other relevant field level actors on the daily implementation of tasks 
  • Following the weekly and monthly planning for the programme team, report back accurately on field level activities to the PM. 
  • Identify and report possible problems, conflicts, or contextual changes to the PM, proposing solutions where possible and pertinent. 
  • Monitor the evolving context and flag any potential protection concerns to the PM or assigned focal point. 
  • Promote the use of the Feedback and Complaint Response Mechanisms with affected population sharing information on how to raise a feedback/complaint and reporting to the MEAL department any relevant issue.
  • Oversee and be responsible for the delivery of assistance at the individual and community level, coordinating with implementing partners and other field teams as needed, and ensuring progress towards common goals.
  • Assist in organizing and facilitating capacity building activities for local implementing partners.
  • Coordinates logistics and distribution of in-kind (food and non-food) and cash assistance.
  • Supports assessment of household eligibility for assistance
  • Identifies high risk cases and refers to other Anera programs or services offered by other NGOs. 
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, social sciences, statistics, or related fields is required
  • 3+ years of experience related to program support is required
  • Proficient computer skills to include Google Platform 
  • Collaborative interpersonal skills and customer service skills
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills
  • Language Requirement:  Fluency in Arabic and English is required (both written and spoken)
