1 – Overview:
Amel Association International (Amel) is a Lebanese and non-sectarian NGO created in 1979. Amel works through 30 centers, 6 mobile medical units, 2 mobile education units and 1 protection unit, and for more than 40 years has supported the poorest regions of Lebanon, from Beirut and its South Suburbs to Mount Lebanon, Bekaa and South Lebanon. Amel offers accessible services for all in the following fields: food security, health, education, protection, child protection, gender-based violence, livelihood, promotion and protection of human rights, rural development
2 – Scope of work:
The purpose of this assignment is to seek a contracting Biomedical engineer, this includes the provision of Quarterly Preventive Maintenance or PM (the regular and routine maintenance of medical equipment in order to keep them running and prevent any costly unplanned downtime from unexpected equipment failure) and on-call corrective maintenance or CM (Task that corrects a problem with a medical equipment and returns it to proper working order), as per detailed in the TOR - Terms of Reference, for primary healthcare center (PHC) equipment located in 7 Amel Association PHC Centers (Bourj El Barajne, Haret Hreik, Hay El Sellom, Kamed El Loz, Mashghara, Ersel, and Al Ain) for the period 2 years subject to further extension of similar period based of satisfactory performance and with the consent of Amel Association senior management.
Note:
- Due to current situation, Services will be provided only to PHCC located in safe zones.
- Amel reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of PHCC.
3 – The quotation must include:
- Same requested specification
- The number of the registration in the ministry of finance (if applicable)
- VAT, if applicable
- Prices in USD
- Validity of the Quotation
4 – Required Documents:
All Bidders are required to send the below requirements procurementdpt@amel.org with the subject “RFQ – 04078 – Portable Solar Lamps” copying procurement@amel.org and procurementfield@amel.org :
- A signed and stamped quotation.
- Certificate of the registration in the ministry of finance (الشهاد المالية). and all related legal papers including owner ID.
- Biomedical Engineer ID Card
- Certificates of Education.
- The order of Engineers and Architects card.
- If your firm is not registered with Amel Association, you should complete, sign and submit the Vendor Pre-Qualification Form “Annex B”.
- acknowledgment of the attached “Annex C” Amel Association Suppliers Pact of Conduct. Offers that doesn’t contain your acknowledgment of Amel Association Suppliers Pact of Conduct will result in disqualification of your offer.
5 – Payment Terms:
- Bank transfer.

7 – Timeframe
- Quotations and the requested papers should be submitted no later than 15/11/2024.
