ABAAD-Resource Center for Gender Equality in partnership with UNICEF is planning to conduct a Four-full day’s workshop on “Creative Art Techniques in Working With Women and Girls Affected by GBV” over November 9, 10, 11 & 12 in North (Florida Beach Hotel, Chekka)
The workshop aims at developing the capacities of GBV and CP service providers working within the psychosocial field; during this workshop participants will:
Have a theoretical introduction regarding the objectives of using art and creative mediums throughout the psychosocial support
Practically experience a set of techniques and exercises that can be used with survivors to help them develop safe forms of self-reflection, expression and symbolic transformation of adversities.
Be aware of the strategies to be used in managing group dynamics and in supporting women and girls in developing healthy social networks
The training is geared toward social workers and service providers fulfilling the following requirements:
Operating in the North, Bekaa & South;
Working as social worker, animators, support groups or psychologist;
Working with women & girls.
