With the support of the European Regional Development and Protection Programme for Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq (RDPP II), Oxfam and its partners Legal Agenda (LA) and Lebanese Observatory for Workers and Employees’ Rights (LOWER) are implementing a project entitled “Promotion of decent work and sustainable business development in Bekaa, Lebanon.”

Oxfam is a global movement of people, working together to end the injustice of poverty. Oxfam has been working in Lebanon since 1993. We provide humanitarian assistance to vulnerable people affected by conflict, and we promote economic justice and good governance, and women’s rights. Oxfam also works with local partners to contribute to the protection and empowerment of marginalized women and men.

Oxfam is looking to contract two medical doctor/nurse midwife/SRH (one man and one woman) expert who will provide SRH counselling for men and women in targeted communities within the informal settlements in the Beqaa region. Counselling sessions will include key information, preventative measures and tailored referrals to beneficiaries based on their specific needs.

The purpose of this Tender is to obtain competitive offers for decent work conditions information sessions in Beirut. A detailed description of the assignment and services required by Oxfam is contained in the technical specifications (see APPENDIX A – Technical specifications).

With the aim of spreading awareness among children in local communities in Lebanon on the importance of getting vaccinated against COVID-19, Oxfam in Lebanon is hiring a content creator/illustrator to develop and illustrate a comics story booklet for kids in Lebanon aged between 5 and 10 years old who are eligible to get vaccinated. This comic story will be printed and distributed, as well as read live later at a launching event for children, where around 100 kids in each Beqaa and Tripoli will be hosted in selected venues.

The research consultant is expected to develop a detailed methodology for the research along with the necessary tools, manage the research, and produce a research paper which reflects the realities in the areas where the project is implemented within the national context.
