We are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our dynamic Lebanon programme team to oversee and support education-focused projects in Lebanon.
We are looking for a candidate who has significant experience in managing education, development, peacebuilding or similar projects in Lebanon and who is a strategic thinker with excellent people management skills. Technical peacebuilding skills in areas such as conflict sensitivity, monitoring and evaluation, training and research are a strong asset.

The Ending Violence Against Children project aims to increase the capacity of schools and learning centres to reduce violence against children and generate evidence of the effectiveness of various approaches. It is implemented primarily in the Bekaa and Tripoli where partner organizations operate centres that offer non-formal education and psycho-social support activities. The project will generate evidence through action research on effectiveness of approaches to addressing violence against children, including school-based and learning centre-based and community-based approaches.

International Alert is seeking a qualified consultant to develop the content of a 5-module online course for students ages 16-25, based on detailed module outlines (provided by International Alert). The course will be promoted to students as a self-paced personal and professional development resource.

We are looking for a talented and motivated monitoring, evaluation and learning professional to join our dynamic Lebanon Team. This role involves coordinating and supporting monitoring and evaluation of Alert’s projects in Lebanon, and helping to ensure learning is shared internally and externally. The post holder will work closely with programme staff and provide advice and guidance on MEL tools, processes and best practice. The post holder will also oversee coordination for internal and external evaluations, ensuring that learning is fed back into the design and adjustment of projects.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a background in policy advocacy, to contribute to growing International Alert’s organisational influence at both the country and global level on a diverse range of issues related to peacebuilding.
This position will provide high quality advice to teams across Africa, the Middle East and Asia, related to advocacy strategy, design, monitoring and evaluation. It will identify and engineer opportunities to advance country program influencing priorities and buildout the organisation’s advocacy skills set through training.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a background in communications to contribute to growing International Alert’s organisational influence through our research and events.

This position will be an important interface between our global Advocacy and Communications team and our country and thematic programme teams. Under the guidance of the Communications Manager, the role will provide support to programme teams on the creation of a range of communications outputs.
