Job Overview

CodeBrave is seeking a motivated and passionate STEM Teacher Trainer to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals with a background in education, including coding and robotics education for K-12. As a STEM Teacher Trainer, you will collaborate with senior trainers to develop and deliver training programs, create educational resources, and support teachers in implementing innovative STEM curricula.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, with Masters degree highly desirable
  • Knowledge of block-based and text-based coding languages
  • At least 3 yrs of experience in teaching, training, or educational facilitation - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and educational approaches
  • Demonstrated organisational and time-management skills
  • Enthusiasm for promoting STEM education and fostering a passion for coding and robotics

Areas Of Responsibility

  • ​Train local school teachers on CodeBrave’s STEM curriculum and Teaching Methodology for delivering 21st century skills to K-12 students; coach the school teachers as they independently deliver classes at their schools. Trainings may be in person or online, depending on need.
  • Evaluate and identify training gaps and continuously update teacher training material.
  • Support on the creation of online teacher training resources as required.
  • Support on the collection and analysis of data for monitoring and evaluation. 
  • Support with project management tasks as assigned by the Teacher Training Manager. 
  • Demonstrate CodeBrave’s organisational culture through your behaviour.
  • Attend onboarding and training in preparation to become a Teacher Trainer.

 

Salary

  • Hourly contracts: $15 for online classes; $17 per hour for in-person classes (includes prep time).
  • Monthly contracts: $1,000-$1,200 (post-tax) per month for full-time, depending on experience.
