Capacity Building Trainer  

Location: Beirut, Lebanon  

Contract Type: Short-Term Consultancy  

Duration: till the end of March 2025

This consultancy will focus on providing capacity-building training for RDFL members who are part of the membership activity within the ECHO Project. The aim is to equip members with the necessary skills to support GBV survivors, manage cases effectively, and engage in advocacy work, ensuring a sustainable impact on the community.

Objectives of the Assignment:

The main objective of the consultancy is to design and deliver a capacity-building program tailored to RDFL members, focusing on the following key areas:

1. GBV Case Management and Legal Information: Equip members with the necessary tools and techniques to manage GBV cases effectively.and to have a knowledge about the international Laws.

2. Advocacy and Campaigning: Train members on how to plan and implement successful advocacy campaigns.

3. Communication Skills and PSS support: Enhance communication skills for effective case handling, and community engagement.

4. Code of Conduct (COC) and Ethics: Reinforce adherence to ethical standards and the organization’s code of conduct when working with vulnerable populations.

Scope of Work:

The consultant will be responsible for:

1. Conducting a training needs assessment to identify gaps in knowledge and skills among RDFL members.

2. Designing a comprehensive training plan and materials based on identified needs.

3. Delivering workshops or training sessions in coordination with project team.

4. Providing mentorship and follow-up support to RDFL members after training.

5. Preparing and submitting a final report outlining the outcomes of the training sessions, including recommendations for future capacity-building initiatives.

Expected Deliverables:

1. Training needs assessment report.

2. Training curriculum and materials (presentations, handouts, case studies).

3. A number of 48 training sessions.

4. A final report summarizing the training outcomes and providing recommendations for future interventions.

Qualifications and Experience:

- A university degree in social sciences, gender studies, law, or a related field.

- Minimum 5 years of experience in capacity-building, particularly in the areas of GBV, human rights, and advocacy.

- Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs for NGOs or community-based organizations.

- Strong knowledge of gender issues, GBV, and international human rights frameworks.

- Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.

- Fluency in Arabic and English is required.

- A detailed CV outlining relevant experience.

- A brief proposal (max 2 pages) detailing the proposed training methodology and approach.

- A financial proposal including per session consultancy rates.
