The Opportunity
Save the Children is seeking to recruit an FSL officer to support CSO partners in the delivery and the monitoring of food security and livelihoods projects in Akkar and the North of Lebanon. The staff will be based in the North and will be managing projects in Akkar and the North of Lebanon. This includes but not limited to Competency Based Training, vocational training, youth functional skills, Cash for work and on the job training, entrepreneurship training for youth and adults, small business development, financial literacy, cash provision, and life skills and vocational training for youth.
In order to be successful you will bring/have:
- Degree in Economics, Finance, International Relations, Social Sciences, Development studies or similar field
- Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in development programs, preferably working in food security and & livelihoods, and with experience in cash programming, entrepreneurship and vocational training activities.
- Experience in working with CSO partners staff, in related capacity building activities and monitoring their activities.
- Good time management skills.
- Experience in data collection and validation.
- Experience in field work and community mobilisation; and in coaching on working with Syrian, Palestinian and Lebanese communities in specific.
- Computer skills (especially Excel).
- Strength in interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Action and solutions oriented.
- Flexibility and willingness to change work practices and hours, and capability to work in insecure environment.
- Available to travel in country.
- Experience of working within SCI is a benefit.
