Description: 

Provide effective teaching and facilitation to children and vulnerable host community children by employing a variety of methodologies in teaching students, including demonstrations, discussions, and lectures

- Teach basic academic skills, including alphabet, letter recognition, numbers, and others in Arabic and English or French (reading and writing).

Lead students through creative play and hands-on activities.

- Attend and actively participate in all trainings held by NABAD or partners, which are mandatory for all teachers.

- Maintain a child-friendly and safe teaching/learning environment in the classroom while adopting a holistic approach to teaching (physical, emotional, and intellectual wellbeing)

- Use positive discipline in the classroom

- Assess children's learning achievement with pre, post and periodic assessments during the cycle

- Teach and educate students according to the educational needs, abilities and attainment of potential for individual students entrusted to his/her care

- Supervise the students upon arrival and departure and between sessions

- Support NABAD’s scope of work, team, aims, beneficiaries, and objectives

- Plan and prepare lessons and topics to be given to the class on a daily and a weekly basis

- Coordinate with teachers of the same level concerning the daily and weekly plans

- Report the plans to the Project Coordinator

- Deliver the material of the plan on a daily basis to the children

- Maintain class order and organization

- Document children’s attendance

- Report the progress of the children through assessments on a timely basis

- Fill the pre-tests and post-tests assigned by MEHE with the children

- Ensure the safety of the children while being in class

- Submit monthly timesheets to the Project Coordinator

- Participate in all relevant meetings and capacity-building programs
