LOST is seeking a skilled and organized Plant Production Unit Coordinator to oversee the daily operations of our plant production unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating all activities related to the cultivation, care, and production of plants, ensuring that production goals are met efficiently and within quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a deep understanding of plant production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning and Coordination:
Develop and implement production schedules to meet demand forecasts and optimize resource use. Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to maintain efficiency.

Quality Control:
Ensure that all production activities comply with established quality standards. Conduct regular inspections to assess plant health, growth, and overall quality.

Resource Management:
Oversee the allocation and management of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to ensure smooth and cost-effective operations.

Team Leadership:
Supervise and guide production staff, providing training, support, and motivation to achieve production targets. Conduct regular performance evaluations and address any issues or concerns.

Inventory Management:
Monitor and manage inventory levels of seeds, fertilizers, and other production materials. Ensure timely procurement of necessary supplies to avoid production delays.

Data Collection and Reporting:
Collect, analyze, and report on production data, including yield, resource usage, and efficiency metrics. Prepare regular reports for senior management.

Health and Safety Compliance:
Ensure that all production activities are carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations. Implement and enforce safety protocols to minimize risks.

Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for improving production processes and implement changes to enhance efficiency and quality. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

Stakeholder Communication:
Coordinate with other departments, such as procurement, sales, and logistics, to ensure seamless operations. Maintain open lines of communication with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders.

Educational Requirements:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Science, Horticulture, Agronomy, or a related field.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in plant production or a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with plant production techniques, equipment, and materials.
  • Proficiency in using production management software and tools.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in sustainable agriculture practices.
  • Knowledge of pest management and plant diseases.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages, especially English and Arabic.

  • Work Environment:
  • This position may require working in greenhouse or outdoor environments, with exposure to varying weather conditions.
  • Flexibility in working hours may be needed to accommodate production cycles.
