Aim: Under the supervision of the project coordinator, the field Assistant will support in implementing, coordinating, and monitoring the project's activities on the ground.
Responsibilities
The field Assistant will undertake functions as mentioned below:
-Implement project activities according to the project plan and guidelines.
-Support in the distribution of food assistance and Hygiene kit to beneficiaries.
-Performs proper outreach activities to reach relevant beneficiaries.
-Collect data at community and/or household level and conduct different assessment and surveys upon needs.
-Organize and conduct awareness session to women and adolescent girls on hygiene and other topics.
-Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of project activities.
-Provide feedback and recommendations for improvement to the Project Coordinator.
-Collect accurate data and information related to project activities, beneficiaries, and impact and maintain proper records.
-Compile and submit regular reports on project progress, challenges, and achievements to the Project Coordinator.
-Establish and maintain positive relationships with community members and leaders.
-Address beneficiary concerns, feedback, and complaints in a timely and respectful manner.
-Perform any other tasks assigned by the direct supervisor.
- Essential qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (social sciences, development studies, humanitarian assistance).
- Essential experience:
-
Minimum of 3 years programming experience in humanitarian and development context
Experience in project implementation, community engagement, and fieldwork.
Familiarity with food assistance and wash projects and distribution processes.
Competency profile:
- Excellent communication skills (reading, writing, speaking).
- Ability to write reports in English.
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to determine priorities.
- Ability to work in a multicultural context as a flexible and respectful team player.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Adaptability and willingness to work in challenging and dynamic environments.
- Sensitivity to cultural diversity and respect for local customs and norms.
