Objective of the Role:

The M&E Officer is responsible for ensuring the effectiveness and impact of our programs through systematic monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning processes. He/She will be responsible for developing and implementing MEAL frameworks, conducting assessments, and contributing to the organization's continuous improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Monitoring and Evaluation:

• • Develop and implement comprehensive monitoring and evaluation plans for projects and programs.
  • Design and conduct baseline, mid-term, and end-of-project evaluations.
  • Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to measure program outcomes and impact.
  • Carry out regular field monitoring visits of program interventions and produce monitoring reports.
  • Assist in receiving data bases and data tracking tools of diverse projects in order to maintain data quality for collecting reliable and consistent data which meets minimum reporting requirements for donors.
  • Accountability and Feedback Mechanisms:
• • Establish and manage accountability and feedback mechanisms for beneficiaries and stakeholders.
  • Ensure that complaints and feedback are received, documented, and addressed in a timely and effective manner.
  • Collaborate with program teams to integrate accountability mechanisms into project design and implementation.
  • Learning and Knowledge Management:
• • Document and disseminate lessons learned and best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of case studies and success stories.
  • Data Management and Reporting:
• • Develop and maintain databases for effective data management.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data collected.
  • Capacity Building:
• • Provide training and capacity-building sessions on MEAL processes for program staff and partners.
  • Support the integration of MEAL principles into project planning and implementation.
  • Support the development, design, and writing of proposals and concept notes.

Competencies and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, International Development, or a related field.
• Proven experience in MEAL activities within the NGO or humanitarian sector.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative data analysis skills.
• Proficiency in using relevant MEAL tools and software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
