The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating students with speech, language, and communication disorders. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' academic and social development through effective speech therapy interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' speech and language abilities.
  • Identify speech, language, and communication disorders, including articulation, fluency, voice disorders, and language impairments.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and students' needs.
  • Implement and monitor evidence-based therapy interventions tailored to each student’s needs.
  • Provide individual therapy sessions to address specific speech and language goals.
  • Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and tools to improve communication skills.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support students' educational and developmental goals.
  • Provide guidance and training to teachers and staff on strategies to support students with speech and language difficulties in the classroom.
  • Communicate effectively with parents about students' progress, challenges, and strategies for supporting their development at home.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students’ progress, therapy sessions, and assessment results.
  • Prepare and present reports on students' progress and outcomes to school administrators & parents.
  • Stay current with the latest research and best practices in speech therapy and integrate new strategies into practice.
  • Participate in school meetings, training sessions, and workshops as required.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children in an educational setting preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of current best practices in speech and language therapy.
