This is a daily labor role; maximum 10 working days per contract.

 

Job Location: Akkar & T5

 

Job Purpose

The person in this role will conduct the technical winterization assessments for tents in the informal settlements-North Lebanon.

 

Main duties & Responsibilities:

The winterization daily worker should be responsible of managing his/her daily tasks including preparation of the sites list, GPS location and fleet management with the support of the line manager and to report any challenges:

  • Represent Concern in a professional way while conducting the assessments, introduce her/himself and the purpose of the assessments to municipalities, Shawish and the beneficiaries.
  • Complete the daily target of assessment as planned by the shelter team leader and to update the daily achievements and report any challenges
  • collect accurate technical data for the status of the tents as per the instructions, guidelines and SOPs
  • Maintain confidentiality of information by not sharing any data externally or internally
  • Stick to the security and safety measurements,  be up to date of the security situation of the area you will be visiting in direct coordination with the security team to maintain the safety and welfare for her/himself and any of Concern stakeholders
  • Use Concern’s assets (tablet, tools,..) in accordance with the appropriate policy and procedural requirements

Person specification:

Essential

Education: High school or technical degree/diploma in engineering or relevant experience

Experience: 

  • Minimum 2 years field work experience in humanitarian NGO
  • Experience in conducting winterization assessments
  • Knowledge and experience in conducting shelter/wash and/or emergency surveys especially in ITSs

Languages:  Arabic, Basic English

Skills: Excellent, proven communication skills
