Main Purpose of the position:

The Psychomotor/ Occupational Therapist will provide psychomotor/ occupational therapy assessment and sessions to Beneficiaries of all ages and support them in developing and improving their skills in different domains. S/he will support caregivers by providing parental guidance based on the need of each beneficiary.

Objective 1: Conduct Psychomotor/ Occupational Therapy assessments.

  • Use quantitative and qualitative assessments to assess skills of children of various ages.
  • Write individualized psychomotor/ Occupational therapy reports to include the outcome and results of the assessment and the targeted objectives.
  • Share and explain the assessment reports including the learner’s progress with the Inclusion officer, other therapists and caregivers.

 

Objective 2: Conduct Psychomotor/ Occupational Reeducation sessions

  • Conduct reeducation sessions to children of different ages and various types of functional limitation targeting objectives identified in the assessments.
  • Share sessions outcomes with caregivers and engage them in the therapeutic follow up of their child.

 

Objective 3: Provide tips and recommendations to support each child.

  • Support caregivers with recommendations related to development that are tailored based on each child’s assessment.
  • Share tips and recommendations on individualized adaptations with the inclusion officer to support the child’s academic pathway and learning skills.
  • Assess and identify other needs of referral to the child: specialized services, assistive devices, medical referrals.
