To address the growing needs of children and youth in Lebanon, WCH is implementing the Makani project, adopting a Multi-Service Community Centre (MSCC) approach across 10 community centers in the North (T5 area). This initiative aims to deliver a comprehensive package of integrated services targeting marginalized and vulnerable children and youth aged 0-18 years, as well as their caregivers. The MSCCs serve as safe spaces offering a range of programs, including Education, Child Protection, Early Childhood Development (ECD), Life Skills, and youth engagement support through a community-based approach. The goal is to reach both Syrian and Lebanese vulnerable children in host communities, collective, and informal settlements.
Minimum requirement:
· Bachelor degree in Education/Early Childhood education or equivalent
· Previous experience with out of school children
· Previous experience in ECE
· Ability to work under pressure
·Fluency in Arabic and French Languages
Responsibilities:
· The teacher will attend all trainings and capacity building sessions
· Attend and participate in weekly reporting and planning meetings to ensure adherence to standards of care, quality education, referrals, and reporting requirements, are followed
· Track attendance and follow up closely with center coordinators on children who dropped out or are at the risk of dropping out and keep a record of the follow-up actions taken
· Identify and refer child protection and child safeguarding cases and threats following War child policies and mechanisms
· Collect data on required assessments (Pre/Post Assessments)
· Ensure all project data records including registration sheets, attendance sheets, evaluation documents etc. are submitted to center coordinator on time
· Design lesson plans for CBECE sessions
· Develop IEPs for children when needed
· Facilitate the ECE sessions with appropriate differentiation to cater for different needs
· Conduct formative assessments for children during implementation period to track improvement and adjust the support in a timely and individualized manner
· Ensure safe, secure, simulative and inclusive classes to meet the abilities and the needs of the children (including children with disabilities)
· Respect and commit to internal policies and procedure including Child Safe Guarding, code of conduct, dressing code…
