Description:
The AUB-NCC 3-month Summer Internship Program aims to provide current university students or recent graduates with the opportunity to contribute to scientific research while gaining practical experience and soft skills useful for their future career development. Bridging the gap between academic and professional settings, this program aims to highlight AUB-NCC as a hub for the new generation of environmental professionals and enthusiasts in Lebanon and the MENA region.
Applicants from all backgrounds willing to commit for 40 hours working hours per week from the 1st of June until the end of August in AUB-NCC office on AUB campus are welcome to apply.

AUB-NCC internships may lead to future employment when relevant opportunities arise.
Objectives:
Overall, the AUB-NCC Internship Program aims to provide mutual benefits for the interns, the Center, and future employers by fostering knowledge exchange:
- Prepare interns for future workplace
- Offer interns a space for hands-on experience along with mentorship
- Offer networking opportunities for candidates
- Contribute to the broader goals of environmental research and conservation in Lebanon and the MENA region
Learning Outcomes:
Through this program, interns will be able to:
- Learn about various contemporary environmental issues and their solutions in Lebanon and the MENA region
- Develop research skills such as following scientific methodologies, managing projects, and writing proposals
- Develop personal and interpersonal soft skills such as professional communication, ethics, and leadership
- Work with a multi-disciplinary team of experienced individuals
- Benefit from personal mentorship and access to capacity-building workshops and events for networking
- Receive recommendation letters upon satisfactory completion of program.
The intern is expected to/ Responsibilities:
- Contribute to research development and program rollout at AUB-NCC
- Support efforts to optimize internal database & archives
- Participate in writing research funding proposals and project design
- Provide support to the core team in all tasks, as required
- Attend networking events, conferences, roundtables and workshops when available
- Learn how to conduct research in an academic and professional setting
