Technical Guidance

  1. Assessment Tool Development: Utilize advanced clinical expertise to develop and refine quantitative and qualitative tools, essential for the accurate evaluation of care quality.
  2. Methodology Enhancement: Collaborate with committee members to ensure assessment tools and methodologies are refined, culturally appropriate, and comprehensive.
  3. Data Analysis and Interpretation: Interpret data sets to identify trends, draw insights, and pinpoint areas for improvement in maternal and newborn care, offering strategic recommendations for interventions.
  4. Report and Deliverables Development: Participate in the creation, review, and finalization of comprehensive assessment reports and project deliverables.
  5. Presentation Strategy: Provide expert advice on the structuring, formatting, and visualization of data for presentations to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.

Coordination and Oversight

  1. Project Coordination: Facilitate the coordination and supervision of assessment activities, ensuring projects are executed efficiently.
  2. Stakeholder Engagement: Actively participate in meetings and contribute to decision-making processes, offering expert insights that guide project direction.
  3. Monitoring and Evaluation: Monitor the progress of assessments, including data collection and analysis, to ensure timely completion of project milestones.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s degree in Clinical Midwifery, with professional registration with the relevant Syndicate of Midwives.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in maternal and newborn health, focusing on quality care assessment and improvement, preferably in emergency or post-conflict settings.
  • Leadership in Assessments: Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate assessments and research within humanitarian or development sectors.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of maternal and newborn health policies, guidelines, frameworks, and best practices, including WHO standards for quality care.
  • Ethical Considerations: Knowledge of ethical principles related to maternal and newborn health research and assessment.
  • Analytical Proficiency: Strong skills in quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis methods.
  • Communication Skills: Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, with fluency in English and Arabic, and the capacity to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
