Responsibilities:
- Vendor Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms, quality, and pricing.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Sourcing and Procurement:
- Source and procure top-quality ingredients and supplies while considering cost-effectiveness.
- Stay informed about market trends and industry developments to make informed procurement decisions.
- Inventory Control:
- Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels.
- Conduct regular stock assessments and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Cost Management:
- Work closely with the finance department to control the cost of goods sold (COGS) through effective negotiation and cost analysis.
- Quality Assurance:
- Implement and enforce quality standards for all incoming goods.
- Conduct regular quality audits of suppliers and address any issues promptly.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain to prevent disruptions.
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with the culinary team to align procurement strategies with menu requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Regularly assess and enhance the efficiency of supply chain and procurement processes.
- Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the procurement budget, tracking expenditures and ensuring cost control measures.
- Communication:
- Maintain open and effective communication with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and team members.
- Provide regular updates on procurement activities and performance metrics.
