The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for managing the day-to-day running of the Bedayati Kitchen. The Supervisor will work under the direct supervision of the Bedayati Director.
The incumbent will:
Management:
- Serve as the food safety and hygiene team leader ensuring full compliance with food quality and safety standards,
- Assist in cooking preparation as required, ensuring that team members follow Bedayati recipes and accurately prepare orders,
- Manage the kitchen team, fostering a positive work environment,
- Plan weekly menus, standardize recipes and test new recipes,
- Manage and update the Bedayati shop on Toters,
- Manage the kitchen, opening and closing it on a daily basis,
- Conduct food costing for all items sold and update the cost of goods on a weekly basis,
- Issue bills using the POS billing software and perform a daily cash reconciliation,
- Keep an up-to-date record of all kitchen expenses on Excel,
- Organize the food inventory and storage and capture monthly food inventories,
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment and facilities are regularly cleaned and maintained in line with food safety and hygiene standards,
- Act as the focal point for the maintenance of kitchen equipment and facilities, ensuring that all works and repairs are implemented in a timely manner,
- Coordinate the purchasing of all items and maintain the supplier list,
- Train new kitchen staff as required.
Catering:
- Liaise with customers for catering orders, addressing customer feedback and complaints,
- Lead the organization and execution of all catering orders and events with the support of Bedayati kitchen leadership.
Required Education, Skills & Experience
- A qualification in hospitality, food technology or similar field,
- At least 3 years of professional experience working in catering,
- Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene, knowledge of HACCP and ISO 22000 is a plus,
- Fluent in English and Arabic, French is a plus,
- Good knowledge of Excel,
- Good knowledge of POS,
- Strong work ethic, a commitment to work excellence and adherence to Bedayati core values,
- Strong communication and customer service skills,
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail,
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision,
- Excellent teamwork skills and ability to manage a team.
The work schedule is from 8:00 AM-3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
