Health Awareness Session Facilitator

Salam LADC (Salam) is an apolitical, non-religiously affiliated NGO, founded in the South of Lebanon. We provide education and livelihood support services and emergency aid to vulnerable people, regardless of their nationality, gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, religion or political affiliation. Operations are conducted in Beirut, Central Bekaa and Kawkaba. The majority of our activities take place in the Salam Community Center, Saadnayel. 

In the coming months we will be implementing a health awareness cycle. Groups of 10 (mixed nationality and gender) will follow fortnightly sessions on a variety of topics. Some of these sessions will be held by specialist health sector partners, with the hope of the facilitator eventually taking the lead on the session where possible. As such, we are looking to recruit a facilitator who is experienced in broad areas of the health sector. Further, we are looking for a facilitator who is a skilled communicator, capable of running awareness sessions with patience, empathy and kindness. 

2 sessions will be run a week, maximum 1/2 day, with the possibility for outreach to be expanded through our mobile classroom in the new year. The facilitator will be contracted for 2 days a week, using the rest of the day to conduct evaluation and follow-up.  Each cycle will last 4 months, contract is until August 2024 minimum. 

Required:

- Fluent Arabic 

- Good level of English

- Good computer skills, ability to independently use Google Workspace to conduct monitoring and evaluation

- Higher education in health and related fields 

- Experience facilitating awareness sessions 

- Strong communication skills

- Initiative, able to adapt creatively for the best outcome of the session 

Desirable

- Driving license and experience

- Experience working inside ITS 

- Certifications in health awareness facilitation

Initial 2 day a week contract will be remunerated for $120, working hours are 10 - 16H. Possibility of expansion into part-time contract in 2024. Transportation is not remunerated. Zahlé district (Saadnayel).
