Description: 

Women’s Programs Association announces the need for Learning Support Teachers. To work within the project: “Enhancing inclusive education through a multi-sectoral, area-based intervention targeting 3892 children, caregivers and community members in 4 Palestinian camps.”
The project is implemented in partnership with TDH-ITALY - Funded by OCHA.

Duty Station/Location: Naher Bared and Beddawi Camps

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching students of grades 01 to 06 according to the educational needs, abilities and attainment potential of individual students entrusted to his/her care
  • Responsible for submitting daily timesheet to the line manager
  • Assigning the needs of students and using knowledge and specialized skills to support students’ learning
  • Working with selected students, on individual and small group basis, in learning support interventions specifically designed to support their needs; and the basic skills in Mathematics, English, Arabic and Science
  • Providing objective and accurate feedback and reports as required on students’ achievement, progress and other matters
  • Controlling and maintaining the equipment and contents available in the center
  • Keeping an ongoing positive communication with the parents
  • Undertaking any other duties, as may be required

Qualifications:

  • Minimum two years of experience working in Active and Inclusive Learning support with (1st to 6th grades) and experience in teaching UNRWA curricular subjects
  • Bachelor’s degree of one of educational majors
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic languages
  • Ability and experience in using the main computer programs (word, PowerPoint, excel) and emails, social networks, and multimedia educational content creation (such as educational videos)
