Senior Legal Expert to Examine, Assess and Amend the Customs Law in Lebanon

The principal objective of the assignment is to conduct an assessment and draft gap analysis on the existing Customs law, and propose needed amendments, as forseen in activity no. 1.  

The Tariff Code (Customs law): This law regulates the import and export of goods and aims to ensure that tariffs and other trade restrictions are applied fairly and do not negatively impact the economy.

The findings and the proposed amendments will be documented in the assessment report, which will be used by LFPCP to advocate for changes to the laws and to promote economic growth and stability in Lebanon.

The expert will work hand-in-hand with LFPCP project team and under the supervision of the Project Director to analyze the customs law and propose necessary amendments.
