DESCRIPTION:

The Opportunity

The Teacher will be implementing lesson plans for students developed by the donor foundation that meet the purposes of the program. They will hold classes on a regular basis and be responsible for assessing and guiding students to ensure their progression into the program.

Based in Beirut, the working environment will be both  online and in person. There may be times when the position holder is required to come to the office and attend meetings.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Implement an English curriculum framework that meets the program objectives.

Hold classes and organize activities for students based on the approved curriculum and schedule.

File all important records and correspondences related.

Conduct student assessments regularly to measure progress.

Develop and submit student progress and attendance reports based on the set timeline.

Ensure evaluation documents are in place.

Conduct regular meetings with caregivers to clarify the objectives of the project, follow up on their children’s improvement and agree on their contributions and appropriate ways to support children’s learning at home in order to ensure sustainability and commitment.

Maintain positive, cooperative and mutually supportive relationships with students,Caregivers, supervisors and INARA’s staff.

Guide and assist students in their journey to guarantee optimum level of learning and development.

Facilitate learning by creating a positive environment and organizing the learning resources.

Work closely with INARA’s social workers and psychologists in order to maintain a better monitoring of the child’s behavior and wellbeing.

Perform other duties as required

 

Reporting

Reports to the Country Manager, Program Manager and the donor on a regular basis through weekly catch ups

Working environment

Located in Beirut, Lebanon.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in English literature, Education or related major - a Master’s degree is a plus

Previous experience with children from 6 to 18 years old

At least 2 years of experience in e-learning and online.

Excellent oral and written communication and reporting skills.

Use her or his own laptop.

Proficiency in Arabic and English is required.

Lebanese Citizenship is Required
