RDFL is seeking a research consulting firm to conduct a study on child marriage in Lebanon.

We are looking for a team that has experience conducting research on gender issues, child protection, and/or social policy in Lebanon or the region. The team should be able to design and implement a survey, analyze the data, and produce a report with actionable recommendations for policymakers and practitioners.

 

Objectives

The primary aim of this study is to determine the extent to which child marriage is prevalent in Lebanon.

Specifically, the research analyzes the frequency and prevalence of child marriage in different regions of the country, taking into account different demographics such as religion, social status, level of education, etc…

By gathering data from a representative sample in each governorate, this study seeks to determine the incidence of this phenomenon, with a focus on the underlying social, cultural, and economic factors that contribute to child marriage in Lebanon.

Scope of Work

Following a thorough analysis of secondary data, the study should leverage quantitative methods by conducting a national public survey to gather precise and accurate data that will enable comprehensive and reliable insights into child marriage in Lebanon.

To gather a meaningful dataset that can yield analyzable answers and draw sound conclusions regarding child marriage in Lebanon, targeting Lebanese, Syrian, and Palestinian nationalities with a coverage of 8 Lebanese governorates of a sample size representative 1000.

Responsibilities:

- Design and implement a survey on child marriage in Lebanon

- Analyze the data collected and produce a report with actionable recommendations for policymakers and practitioners

- Primary and Secondary data collection

- Work with local partners and stakeholders to ensure the study is conducted in a culturally sensitive and ethical manner

- Manage the project timeline and budget

Requirements:

- Demonstrated experience in conducting research on gender issues, child protection, and/or social policy in Lebanon or the region

- Excellent analytical and writing skills

- Strong project management skills

- Fluency in Arabic and English
