The Nawaya Network is an NGO based in Beirut, Lebanon that develops the income-generating opportunities of youth through entrepreneurship, employability, and economic development programs.

We are seeking an Employability Skills Trainer to fulfill the below tasks and responsibilities:

  1. Attend the Live TOT sessions 
  2. Ensures training sessions are delivered and scoring of youth's portfolio are conducted effectively and in a timely manner in line with the program proposal, timeline, and communicated OST Curriculum that needs to be respected.
  3. Conducts effectively various life skills and career guidance training sessions revolving around CV Writing, Cover Letter Development, Organizational Management, Job Description Analysis, Job Interview Preparation, LinkedIn Profile Development among many other topics.
  4. Scores effectively youth's portfolio Post Online Soft Skills 1st Training Phase of the Program based on a pre-defined selection criteria explained thoroughly by the Senior Program Coordinator (each trainer will select 12 youths out of the 25 youths)
  5. Creates Zoom links and shares them with the participants for the timely implementation of each Online Skills Training session (OST) and Individual Coaching Phase (ICP).
  6. Share the OST materials with the participant's "Powerpoint presentation, Scoring sheet, booklet.."
  7. Delivers interactive sessions using engaging learning tools.
  8. Supports and Mentors the youth throughout the phases of the program
  9. Records the attendance of youth and ensures an accurate follow up with the Coaches Focal Point (CFP) on the absenteism rate so the CFP ensures a close follow up on the reasons and justifcation behind it to be reported to the Senior Coordinator.
  10. Records each of the OST sessions and shares the recording with the participants and CFP.
  11. Monitors youth performance and engagement to the sessions and relay important observatory notes to the Senior Program Coordinator regarding youth behavior i.e. unethical manner of youth, bad influence his/her peers etc
  12. Monitor youths' attendance and committment to the sessions, update the participants' attendance tracking sheet
  13. Maintains confidentiality of the OST training material communicated by the Lead Coach and does not diffuse it to external entities other than the youth.
  14. Guides and effectively train youth in job seeking, application procedures, resume writing, interview preparation, and job retention skills and attitudes with practical examples and mock exercises.
  15. Delivers the Individual Coaching Phase as communicated by the Senior Program Coordinator and Lead Coach while following the shared guidelines.
  16. Follows up with the youth frequently to check their job application process and their assignment progress.
  17. Supports the Senior Program Coordinator with training related tasks.

Experience:

  • 2 to 5 years of experience as a life skills/employability trainer.
  • Proven HR experience (especially to be able to conduct interviews, answer NSSF and Labor Law questions)
  • Proven experience in content creation and curriculum design.
  • Must have a TOT (Training of Trainers) Prior Experience or Certified Business Trainer Certificate.
  • A professional background in Training on various topics as indicated in the OST Curriculum.
