The Nawaya Network is an NGO based in Beirut, Lebanon that develops the income-generating opportunities of youth through entrepreneurship, employability, and economic development programs.

We are seeking an SME Business Coach to fulfill the below tasks and responsibilities:

1- Develops the Coaching Curriculum by referring to the existing one developed by Nawaya.

2- Ensures a detailed understanding of the SME when it comes to HR , Finance, Procurement, Pricing, Marketing, Customer Service Skills, Product/Service itself, and the Business Model implemented.

3- Conducts a Business Assessment to identify the SWOT analysis of each SME.

4- Applies the buyer-led approach to each selected SMEs by focusing on the approach of :"produce what you can sell, not sell what you can produce".

5- Identifies the training gaps to be communicated to the selected Trainers/Experts in specific fields and ensures the Training sessions are implemented with the oversight of the Program Coordinator.

6- Implements effectively the Internal Procurement Process for the purchase of agreed upon physical resources/supplies according to the allocated budget for each SME i.e. Purchase Request to be filled out.

7- Provides constructive feedback to each SME pre & post sessions based on the recieved assignments and practical exercises communicated by the coach.

8- Actively participates as a Jury Member during the Pitch with the end purpose of selecting the SMEs while referring to an objective scoring mechanism / scoresheet criteria developed by the Program Coordinator and approved by the Deputy Director and a key person from Spark.

9- Adheres to management expectations in terms of expected deliverables , program targets, and reporting when sollicited.

10- Develops a Final Assessment for each SME to ensure a proper plan and guidance/recommenbdations given by the coach to help securing scale up of their business.

11- Reports regularly to the Deputy Director and the Program Cooridnator all issues and problems faced in order to take immediate action steps and making sure the Program Objectives are being met.

12- Reports any successful teams/interesting stories for marketing and communication department to share success stories and ensure online visibility on Nawaya's Social Media Channels.

 

Job Requirements:

Experience:

At least 7 to 10 years of hands-on private sector experience, preferably in a position managing or assisting or coaching SMEs & start-ups, ideally with an incubator or accelerator.
