The Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing the projects portfolio and partners.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the Executive Director to identify, analyse, and respond to new funding opportunities
- Lead on the preparation of concept notes, proposals, budgets, and results frameworks
- Assist in designing and developing new proposals
- Lead on partner mapping exercises and support in new partner selection
- Organize programs and activities in accordance with Red Oak’s mission and goals
- Develop a budget and operating plan for the program
- Communicate with donors regarding proposals, reports and requests.
- Develop an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement
- Write program funding proposals to guarantee uninterrupted delivery of projects
- Ensure goals are met in areas including stakeholders’ satisfaction, safety, quality, and team member performance
- Meet with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions on services
- Produce accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle
- Analyze program risks
- Develop and update technical monitoring tools
EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of 4 years progressively responsible experience in Program management and proposal writing
- Experience with developing and implementing development programs, including program design, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation
- Knowledge of civil society development and human rights work and engagement with international human rights mechanisms
- Knowledge of the human-rights based approach
- Experience in working within the partnership model, organizational development of partners, and capacity development of civil society organizations
- Experience in creative problem solving
- Experience and knowledge of effective financial and budgetary control and grant management
- Experience in working in a multi-cultural and/or international work environment
- Experience in proposal writing and donor reporting
- Experience in preparing budgets and monitoring expenditure
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Excellent written and oral English and French communication skills and proficiency in Arabic.
- Attention to detail with strong follow up and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, procurement, and costs
- Excellent time management skills
- Team-oriented, with ability to work efficiently independently
- Have excellent interpersonal skills for collaborating effectively with others
- Can multitask, work well under pressure, and work efficiently to meet strict deadlines
