The Levantine Institute (LEVIT) is a social entreprise offering Levantine Dialect and Modern Standard Arabic programs classes in person and online with our platform www.levantineonline.com.
LEVIT also organizes the events on the monthly basis that are open to the public as well. So in addition to the foreign students taking the Arabic courses in LEVIT, also broader public participates in the presentations in order to get familiar with different aspects of Lebanese society including economic, political, cultural and other topics.
Arabic classes and activities
- In liaison with Coordinator, AT should prepare their lesson to reach the highest standards
- Identify level of satisfaction within students, bridge between student needs and the management.
- Be present on time for classes and prepared.
- Prepare outdoor and cultural activities with the students in collaboration with the Coordinator.
Lessons and content
- Participate in the brainstorming for programs and lessons.
- Draft any other document that might be asked by management
Meetings, reporting and training
- AT must attend the weekly team meeting
- AT are required to attend all trainings given by coordinator and other trainers
- AT must attend all meetings with coordinator
Private lessons / Online
- AT teacher must report all Arabic Private Lessons during the month through the system in place.
- AT is responsible for providing a quality connection and calm environment to provide online classes.
Undertake any other task that might be required by the management.
- Experience and qualifications:
Al least +3 years in education.
Prior experience in teaching Arabic as a foreign language desired.
BA or Master in Education or related fields.
Diploma in teaching Arabic as a foreign language desired.
Essential Skills and Knowledge.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to coordinate, plan and prioritise activities.
Excellent literacy, numeracy and IT skills (e.g. Word/Excel).
Proactive, innovative, and flexible with a problem-solving approach where systems can be improved.
Determined and committed to the highest quality standards.
Ability to integrate into an a team and establish effective working relationships with colleagues.
Ability to meet deadlines and work calmly under pressure.
Available mornings and/or afternoons, preferably living in Tripoli.
