The FMF is currently seeking a Media & Communications Officer who leads all activities related to communication and social media. The Media and Communication Officer reports directly to the FMF members and is expected to work closely with partner institutions.

 

 

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

 

  • Coordinate tasks, responsibilities, and outputs of Communication Strategy Consultant (CSC), incl ensuring close communication between CSC and FMF executive committee.
  • Oversee implementation of the FMF communication strategy and related campaigns to promote their mission and objectives through their social media outlets (Facebook, Instagram, twitter and YouTube), and through main stream media (TV stations, Newspapers …), and other media platforms.
  • Community Management of all related FMF social channels and the diffusion of communication content based on the communication plan set forth by CSC.
  • Manage social media community engagement of FMF, especially in regards to FMFs overall mission and related activities, including attending and covering events, and handling all relevant email correspondence
  • Handle all copywriting related to communication material, as defined by the brand’s tone of voice set forth by CSC
  • Oversee communication of FMFs programs and events, e.g. media releases, articles, social media posts, invitations, branding at events etc.
  • Oversee the publication, editing and distribution of the monthly / bi-monthly journal (to be launched soon)
  • Support design of posters, leaflets, and other materials for FMF to meet communication objectives.
  • Compile and archive photos and documentations of all events and activities of FMF
  • Liaise with other institutions regarding FMF’s media and communications campaigns.

 

The Media and Communication Officer is expected to work closely with the FMF team and reports directly to the FMF Media Team.

 

 

Experience / proficiency

  • At least with 3 years’ experience as Media and Communication officer with local NGOs or INGOs.
  • Experienced in Managing various media and communication activities.
  • Proficiency in Arabic and English and capacity to write professionally in both languages
  • Organizational skills with attention to details and high professionalism
  • Dynamic attitude, multitasking skills and team player skills
  • Time management with the ability to work under pressure
  • Strong networking skills
  • Experience in organizing media campaigns.
  • Preferable to have knowledge in the field of dealing with the past
