The Lebanese Center for Civic Education LCCE is a Non Governmental Organization working since 2007 to empower youth and women to be change makers in their communities.

Through its community development programs, LCCE empowers youth through:

  • Developing Curricula on active citizenship, vocational trainings, soft skills, entrepreneurship
  • Building youth skills and knowledge on technical work, soft skills, & social entrepreneurship
  • Facilitating youth and women access to labor market
  • Developing social cohesion & peace building approaches and promoting human rights culture

Background:

The economic crisis increased the number of youth who are not in ‘’employment, or in education or in training’’ (NEET); efforts to facilitate the access of these youths to labor market are essential to prevent poverty and increase job growth as one of UN sustainable development goals. In this context, LCCE is preparing periodic reports on NEET situation, challenges, and action plans.

Job description:

Create a periodic report on youth that are not in ‘’education or employment or Training’’ NEET through:

- conducting desk research and gathering information from relevant sources

- applying research methodology (qualitative and quantitative) on a sample of actors involved

- analyzing the gathered data and creating visual graphs

The intern is also expected to assist in content creation for LCCE website, LCCE brochure, and LCCE social media accounts

Requirements:

BA in Social Sciences, economics, education, or any relevant field of study

 

Preferred qualifications:

- Strong communication skills in Arabic and English

- Analytical skills

- Excellent writing skills

- Strong interest in community development and youth skills building

- Computer skills

- Previous experience working with NGOs is a plus
