As a research consultant, you will be responsible for the following main tasks:
· Conducting a Literature Review on resourcing and supporting
feminist organizing, globally and in the MENA
In collaboration and coordination with the Program team, designing the research
methodology and data collection tools
· Conduct interviews and Focus Group Discussions with feminist groups
and organizations receiving and providing funds in MENA, and finalize three
case studies
· Analyze the data in collaboration with the Program team and prepare
a policy-oriented report
As a Research Consultant, you are part of the Field Department and report to the
Head of Office Beirut. You work in collaboration with the Senior Program
Officer and the Program Officer.
Master’s
degree or equivalent in Gender Studies, Political Science, Human Rights,
Conflict Studies or any other related field;
· Minimum five years of relevant work experience with women’s human
rights, gender equality issues, women’s empowerment, women’s political activism
and/or peace building.
· In-depth knowledge of qualitative research tools and methodology.
· Good knowledge of feminist organizing in the MENA region.
· Strong analytical skills and excellent written and oral
communication skills in both Arabic and English as well as good grasp of excel
and database management.
· Experience of women’s rights work, voluntary or professionally; and
(interest in feminism, social justice)
