This position will report to the Program Manager. As part of the Project Field Team, the position is based in Beirut, Lebanon. The Program Officer will be responsible for coordinating program reporting and performance evaluation in compliance with Department of State and NCSC requirements. 
 
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 
 
• Assist in the implementation of the program’s activities to improve records management systems, as assigned and as defined in the program’s activity plans.  

• Work with relevant counterparts, committees, and working groups to implement program activities in accordance with the activity plan, implementation schedule, and performance monitoring plan. • Maintain day-to-day interactions with Lebanese justice sector counterparts to coordinate support and monitor field-based activities, as assigned and in collaboration with colleagues.

• Attend, participate in, and/or report on formal and informal meetings with counterparts.

• Maintain electronic and hard copy archive of all program deliverables and reports.

• Assist with the drafting and submission of quarterly and annual programmatic and performance evaluation reports, fact sheets, and other program reporting.

• Coordinate programmatic and performance evaluation and reporting, including collecting performance progress data and maintaining supporting documentation for performance achievements, in compliance with U.S. State Department requirements.

• Do such other tasks as assigned by the Program Manager from time to time.

Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, law, international development, economics, or related field is required. • At least three years of professional experience as a Program Officer/Coordinator, M&E Officer, or similar position working on justice sector capacity building in Lebanon. • Knowledge of the laws governing the Lebanese justice sector and of records management principles strongly preferred. • Strong knowledge of programmatic and performance evaluation and reporting along with data collection. • Strong organizational skills, rigorous attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities needed to perform effectively in a demanding position. • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability. • Demonstrated ability to achieve complex results under strict deadlines.
