She or he will maintain regular office hours 9:00 – 16:00, Monday – Friday. She or he is expected to occasionally work evenings and/or weekends, especially during conferences or times when there are program deadlines.
The Finance Office should have the ability to manage a variety of projects simultaneously under minimal supervision is required. The job requires a great deal of multi-tasking and the initiative to complete tasks and problem solving as appropriate.
Excellent oral and written communications skills are required daily to coordinate the needs of the office and assist with financial management of the program.
The position will require attention to detail, working with FDCD financial systems and policies.

Job description: The Finance Officer reports to the President and\or Director of programs of FDCD. The Finance Officer should have the ability to manage a variety of projects simultaneously under minimal supervision is required.
Job responsibilities:
- Ensure credibility and internal control procedures are followed for all cash disbursement, exchanges, receipts and transfers.
- Analyze cash flow, cost control, expense and all financial statements to pinpoint any potential areas for improvement.
- Provide financial inputs to Project Managers for Proposal Development.
- Monitor and validate the donors’ budget and correct any discrepancy.
- Monitor the expenditures to ensure that program funds are utilized appropriately as per the pre-defined schedules.
- Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with laws and regulations; audit and control all archived financial data.
- Check sub-grantee reports, supporting documentation, and arrange payment to them.
- Check and approve financial entries to ensure correct coding and documentation.
- Prepare monthly financial reports for review and submission.
- Prepare fund requests and other disbursements anticipating needs for projects and office expenses.
- Assist with the annual budgeting process, quarterly budget reports, and anticipated budget variances in cooperation with the finance coordinator.
- Develop all policies and procedures for FDCD in order to organize the workflow and ensure its appropriate implementation.
- Facilitate collaboration with heads of departments, other team members, and as required across other FDCD partners to identify and coordinate operational and administrative priorities and program financial activities.
- Manage the data entry of the financial transactions after verifying that all documents are eligible and accurately recorded.
- Any other assignment requested by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills (English and Arabic).
- General office, data entry, MS Office, database, internet, email, and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to take initiative and responsibility and to follow through on tasks with little supervision.
- Flexibility/willingness to be interrupted and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proven organizational and administrative skills.
- Proven ability to problem solves.
