Call for Senior Good Governance Policy Analyst
In the framework of NAHNOO’s work on promoting transparency and good governance in Lebanon, we are seeking to hire a Good Governance Senior Policy Analyst. The Analyst will be responsible for the development of a policy paper identifying the priorities for the GGN intervention in the coming two months to promote the agenda of transparency and good governance in Lebanon.
Network members: NAHNOO, Lebanese Transparency Association (LTA); Lebanese Foundation for Permanent Civil Peace (LFPCP); Sakker el Dekkeneh; Arabia GIS; and North LEDA)
Consultancy period: October-November 2018
Expected working days: 20
Responsibilities:
- Survey existing literature and laws related to Transparency and anti-corruption in Lebanon
- Document related initiatives and policies that were implemented in the past 15 years
- Develop a 20-25 pages policy paper on transparency and reform issues in Lebanon. The policy paper should provide:
- Display and analysis of approaches to fighting corruption/enhancing transparency at the level of public and private sectors in lebanon
- Review of main recommendations of Government Strategy for Administrative reform/Development
- Analysis of the most pressing problems/problematic related to fighting corruption
- Listing of policy options/alternatives that an anti-corruption, pro-transparency, pro-good governance CSO network could pursue to achieve change in the coming years
- Recommending the most feasible/practical policy option for the Network to pursue, in terms of given legal environment and political situation in Lebanon.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of MA (or a Bachelor's degree with over 7 years of experience) in public administration, political science, CSO management, or any relevant field of expertise.
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent organizational and teamwork skills required.
- Must be fluent in written and spoken Arabic and English
