The consultant will need to take part in conducting a simplified economic and social appraisal for several projects. A qualitative and quantitative assessment of the macro, meso and micro level economic and social impacts expected from the projects should be conducted. The impact of the projects on gender, people with disabilities and vulnerable populations such as refugees/displaced should be assessed. The consultant will work as part of a team.

Main Role
The Psychosocial Support (PSS) Programme Coordinator will support in the implementation of the Medico-Social’s PSS activities under the UNICEF funded LRC “Enhanced Psychosocial Support and Protection Capacity of Lebanese Red Cross Front Line Workers” Project. The main responsibilities will include coordinating and monitoring PSS/GV/CP activities implemented through mobile medical units in different locations, and capacity building of LRC Medico-Social staff and volunteers.

Purpose of the job is to contribute in generating a National Task Force representing all the stakeholders, and working on prisons and prisoners’ rights, by focusing on Penitentiary Reform, as well as involving civil society organisations, ministries, academia and institutions, in order to exchange practices and lessons learnt, discuss challenges and gaps of the penitentiary system and set the priorities to work on, via an ultimate change of the current penitentiary situation.
