JOB SUMMARY
The International Affairs and Diplomacy Analyst will be writing a variety of briefs for the NGO on a range of foreign affairs issues, in all news topics. He/She will develop a good list of contact on the issues they are working on and contribute to the planning of the department. He/She will answer queries from communications department and newsroom on a daily basis as well as, at times, work closely with them on specific projects.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Write briefings on a variety of topics for the NGO
Establish a list of contact for every topic
Build and maintain a good relationship with key partners
Work closely with all NGO departments in conducting research and monitoring protocol

 
QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidate can be current university student, or fresh graduate.
High proficiency in Arabic, English and French (written and spoken)
Have an advanced knowledge and proficiency in the practice of international relations, diplomacy, economics, social theory, and social science research methods.

Make strong use of leadership and decision-making strategies in multicultural, collaborative situations.
Have experience managing complex research assignments independently and in groups of international colleagues, and make decisions by negotiation and collaboration.
Understand and uphold civic responsibility, identify ethical problems, and resourcefully structure debate with respect to civil society, colleagues, and opponents.
Have a critical understanding of foundational histories of world powers in pre-modern and modern history.
Be able to work in a fast-pace environment.
