Al-Mobader-Venture Association /Al Qadisyeh Group is looking for an experienced and motivated Youth Coordinator to join their team in Beddawi & Nahr Al-Bared Camps.

This Youth Coordinator will be an active member in BRAVE Project - Building Resilient and Vibrant Environments - that is funded by UNICEF and implemented by the Arab Resource Center for Popular Arts (ARCPA) as a Lead Partner. BRAVE is implemented all across Lebanon with its 6 local sub-partners.  The objectives are:

1- To build the capacities and skills of children, youths, CSOs, and caregivers in marginalized societies in Lebanon.

2- To promote tolerance and acceptance among host communities and all different communities residing in Lebanon.

3- To provide youth with soft skills, technical skills, and other kinds of support required to increase their chances of employability.

BRAVE activities reached out to all regions through the active collaboration of the implementing partners and in cooperation with a network of organizations working among marginalized communities in Lebanon, mainly Palestinian camps and gatherings.

Organization profile: 

Al-Mobader- Venture Association was founded in 2017 under notification No. 252 of 2017, it is an extension of the Qadisiyah Group “Al Qadisyeh group Established in January 1970 is an extension of pushed the Scout Movement, which began in 1912 in Palestine”.

Al Mobader Association It’s a non-political, nonprofit association and it is a Local Society Association.

Al Mobader Association works in the field of culture, sports, education, scouts, and awareness work.  Al Mobader works with children, Adolescents, Youth, and Caregivers.

Youth Coordinator Duties:

  • Leads and monitors youth activities implemented at the organization including workshops, vocational training, campaigns, community events, and youth-led initiatives among other youth support-related activities.
  • Coordinates and monitors the implementation of workshops to ensure consistency of methodology and objectives.
  • Support budget and spending for Youth program activities.
  • Delivers Employability and entrepreneurship training and/or Technology-based training to youth.
  • Networks with local institutes to ensure effective implementation of activities
  • Supports the assessment of the impact of youth activities on beneficiaries.
  • Ensures the activities targets of beneficiaries are met on time.
  • Reports to Youth Support Programme Coordinator on activities progress and outcomes as well as pre-assessments and post-assessments.
  • Ensures the activities are well documented in terms of visibility, reporting, pre and post-assessments, attendance sheets, and other related documents.
  • Builds volunteers' capacities and supervises them to work on project-related activities.
  • Represents the organization in related events.
  • Performs other job-related tasks as requested by supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in vocational training, or coordination of youth activities or a technology-related field
  • 2+ years of experience working with youth (ages 16-24 years) is a plus.
  • Previous experience in working with NGOs  is a plus
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Understanding of the context of Palestinian refugees, especially in terms of employment

  • Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Has a character and profile that is able to lead a team, and inspire and motivate youth.
  • Ability to deliver information to different age groups.
  • Excellent team player.
  • Able to work under stress.
  • Enthusiastic and looks for continuous self-development.
  • Has to desire for transmitting knowledge and experience to youth to build their capacities.
  • Supervisory skill/planning and organizing skills
