Roles and Responsibilities 

The Professional Skills Facilitator will be responsible for… 

-Helping to review applications and select the 150 job-seekers to enroll in the program 

-Developing curriculum to teach the job-seekers the following subjects: 

  • Resume writing 
  • Cover letter writing 
  • Elevator pitching 
  • Networking skills 
  • Zoom etiquette 
  • Video pitching creation 
  • Interview skills 

-Teaching via Zoom and in-person lessons on the above subjects to groups of 50 job-seekers. The courses will be taught over a two-month period and can be divided as the facilitator sees fit. 

-Running extra small group or one on one sessions with struggling students. 

-Assessing the students’ skill acquisition and overall preparedness to engage in the career fair, and providing students with extensive feedback on homework submissions until they have mastered each project. 

-Liaising with and providing weekly progress reports to the TBB and GEM representatives about student readiness.

-Administrative roles such as coordinating workshop schedules and logistical queries from students. 

 

Desired Skills and Qualifications

-Minimum BA degree, MA preferred 

-Fluent in English and Arabic 

-At least 2+ years of experience in curriculum development and teaching/facilitation 

-Experience working or teaching online 

-Excellent professional skills 

-Comfort working across with international and multi-time zone colleagues 

-Excellent virtual and in-person classroom management skills
