We are looking for a partnership with local NGOs that are able to operate during Phase 1 and Phase 2 or are exempt as per government instructions, so they can join immediately.

Beirut Blast Response is funded by the German Government and implemented together with GIZ , Sustain The World Org and Sustainable Empowerment for Youth. 

Sustain The World initiated the Beirut Blast Response by supporting existing NGOs work and lack of Volunteers to respond to the massive Beirut explosion which caused hundreds of thousands to be left without access to basic living standards and more than 300,000 families are now homeless. 

Sustain The World is creating job opportunities for most vulnerable, without work, without opportunity, prospects or hope, for those suffering and affected by the Port explosion by intervention for the sustainable reconstruction of Beirut after the Blast.

The working conditions are as follow:

-The Per Diem allowance agreed with the Ministry of Social Affairs is 50,000 LBP per day 
-Daily working hours is 6 hours including lunch break
-Duration : 40 working days
-Lunch, Transportation, Insurance are covered during the project

 

The target group of workers: Unemployed youth and underserved community members affected by the blast.
