Call for Applications: Videography/Photography Project

Introduction:

The Society for Social Support and Education (SSSE) #1503 was founded in Beirut, Lebanon in August 2019 to provide a wide range of services to underprivileged with special focus on educational initiatives that are designed to brighten the minds, careers and futures of school-age children. Prior to 2019, great effort and hard work was put into establishing the educational centers and recruiting the students as well as generating funds. This was achieved through relentless work of a group of ladies and the generous donations of many friends, charities and individual donors, thus began the road to what we have now.

Objective

SSSE is looking to hire an experienced company/individual who has videography, photography and editing skills to produce 1 video for 3 minutes including videography, recording, editing, and with English subtitles about SSSE’s education project in Bar Elias, Bekaa, as well as 50 high-quality pictures of teachers and students. 

Location:

Bar Elias, Bekaa, Lebanon.

Tasks:

Carrying out 2 to 4 field visits to the project site in Bar Elias. 

Interviewing teachers, students, and other SSSE volunteers with the purpose of preparing the video.

Capturing/recording videos and pictures of superior quality.

Necessary Means:

Laptop and high-resolution videography and photographic equipment

Lighting and Microphone

Expected deliverables:

The selected company/individual shall submit a 3-minute fully edited video that features SSSE volunteers and students talking about the impact SSSE has had on their lives and the community including a written translation into English and a voiceover if necessary.

The selected company/individual shall submit at least 50 high-quality, high-resolution photos, in vertical and horizontal format, variation of close-up and long distance and portrait photos.

Caption of each photograph with specific details such as the location taken, name of the person (for portraits), activity and any other relevant information (Information should be stored in the image file itself).

All raw data must be shared with SSSE.

Timeframe:

The contract is expected to be signed by the first week of February. The selected company/individual shall submit the deliverables by March 8th, 2023.

Logistics:

During the duration of the contract, the selected company/individual must be fully available and focused on the work.

The individual/company is responsible for covering their trips to and from the field location. 

Intellectual property:

All information pertaining to this project (documentary, digital, cyber, project documents, etc.) belonging to SSSE, which the consultant may come into contact with in the performance of his/ her duties under this assignment, shall remain the property of arche noVa. SSSE shall have exclusive rights over their use. Except for purposes of this assignment, the information shall not be disclosed to the public nor used in whatever form without written permission of arche nova, in line with the national and International Copyright Laws applicable.

Profile of the Videographer - Editor

Fluent in Arabic and English 

Five years progressive experience taking videos and photos preferably for NGOs

Experience in editing and post-editing

Availability and willingness to travel to Bekaa 

Ability to work in close coordination with NGOs

Payment and method:

Payment shall be made in two installments, by Fresh USD check: 

- 30% upon submission of acceptable drafts 

- 70% Final payment upon submission of the final outputs, incorporating suggestions and recommendations from SSSE. 

VAT, if applicable, shall be paid in one installment, in cash LBP: 100% upon submission of the final outputs, incorporating suggestions and recommendations from SSSE.
