A consortium of four organizations, MdM, Skoun, Abaad, Embrace, and the National Mental Health Program (NMHP), supported by the Agence Francaise de Development (AFD), aims to improve the opportunities for women, men, boys, girls, and gender non-compliant individuals in Lebanon to enjoy the best possible mental health and wellbeing. The consortium aims to reach its objective through supporting community-based Mental Health and Psycho-Social Support (MHPSS) and Substance Uses (SU) system offering appropriate, quality, and gender-inclusive services to all people living in Lebanon, particularly the most vulnerable groups and people at risk, while tackling gender barriers in service access and gender biases in service provision. The specific activities of the project target the different levels of the social ecological model with activities designed and aimed at the individual, interpersonal, organizational, and community levels.

Tasks and duties:

  1. Welcome patients:
  • Welcoming the persons for their appointments or walk in patients and visitors of the center.
  • Explaining the service of the center for any person from the community interested who reach out the center.
  • Perform screening for COVID-19 for patients in the absence of the nurse.
  1. Receive referrals, answer calls and schedule appointments:
  • Act as focal point for all communications received at CMHSUC email and inform the relevant person
  • Receiving people referred to the center
  • Explaining the services
  • Orient persons seeking support (in person or phone) to the needed services either through giving appointment at the center or directing to external service providers
  • Scheduling new appointments for the case managers and psychiatrist
  • Managing the appointment schedule of case managers and psychiatrist
  • Contacting psychiatrist’s patients to remind them of their appointments
  • In case of any changes in schedule to contact the beneficiaries and either cancel or take new appointments
  • Update mapping of service regularly
  1. Manage the waiting area:
  • Ensure proper distancing between beneficiaries in the waiting area
  • Manage the crowd and noise

   4. Coordinate with the MH/SU team:

  • Coordinating with CMHSUC supervisor to manage the referrals and appointments
  • Attending meetings with the team when needed
  • Participating in trainings and presentations
  • In case of absent or leave, handover to CMHSUC supervisor that will manage the receptionist tasks
  1. Filing:
  • Print necessary templates and forms to be used by the specialists
  • Organize templates inside the files
  • Ensure the files are stored in the correct order and location
  • Ensure all files are kept in a safe and secure place
  1. Manage shared rooms schedule:
  •  Handling logistical arrangements of meetings/conference/visits 
  • Setting the schedule of the shared rooms between Amel and CMHSU team (consultation room and meeting room)
