In - Kind Social Worker (South Lebanon , Beirut and Mount Lebanon)

SHEILD will Insert two protection and gender desks within the distribution process, SHEILD will include one male and one female social worker to secure a comfortable and stimulating atmosphere for all genders and persons of concern. The protection desk staff will be qualified and well-trained in the principles of interaction and response to various situations.

• The protection desks will provide aid and information, and generate a mechanism to reinforce the cross-cutting gender equality;
• In coordination with WFP, share the updated Q&A form with help desk staff, to be able to answer most of the beneficiaries’ questions in a professional and clear process.
• Implement an announcement board on the site to make sure that people who do not reach the help desk, can find out all updates and information needed;
• Create mapping services guidance note this would be compiling services and contacts of main relevant service providers for social workers’ reference and referrals as well as to be shared with referred beneficiaries and persons of concern upon need;
• Conduct awareness and focus group discussions on-site in each distribution day: SHEILD will make use of the distributions to implement awareness against GBV and deliver gender-sensitive messages and distribute material developed by WFP;
• Integrate GBV-related awareness messages at the distribution sites: Ensure GBV-related messages and topics are well delivered to the beneficiaries attending distributions Materials will be developed by WFP;
• Manage the hotline during the distributions to answer all beneficiaries' inquiries and complaints and report all calls.
