SHEILD is seeking for a digital learning specialist to enhance Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) by integrating cutting-edge digital tools and resources, optimizing educational environments, and leveraging the latest advancements in technology. The role includes creating memorable and immersive learning experiences using Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and innovative methods.
 

Responsibilities

  • Identify the specific needs of beneficiaries and tailor educational technology solutions to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Leverage the latest educational technology tools and resources to create engaging and interactive EORE content.
  • Develop immersive VR experiences that simulate safe practices and real-world scenarios, providing a secure and impactful learning environment.
  • Incorporate AR technologies into physical activities like coloring to reinforce key EORE messages in a creative and interactive way.
  • Design digital and multimedia content tailored to EORE objectives, ensuring clarity, engagement, and inclusivity.
  • Create visually appealing and interactive learning materials, blending traditional methods with modern digital tools.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure the technical accuracy and relevance of all content.
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions for educators, trainers, and community stakeholders to effectively use educational technology in EORE.
  • Assess and enhance the technological infrastructure of educational and training spaces to support the integration of advanced tools.
  • Stay informed about advancements in educational technology and apply emerging trends to enhance EORE initiatives.

 

Skills and Competencies:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in educational technology, Instructional Design, Humanitarian Studies, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in digital learning, VR/AR applications, or technology integration in humanitarian or educational settings.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in VR/AR development tools, content creation software, and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Experience in designing educational content
  • Familiarity with tools and methodologies for interactive and immersive learning.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Creative and innovative thinking to design engaging educational experiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and adapt to challenging contexts.
