Sawa For Development Association
Sawa is a Foundation dedicated to the educational and social development of the residents of Bekaa, especially women and children and the underprivileged. The Foundation also addresses environmental issues.
Goals:
The main goal is the community development in the Bekaa valley in social and environmental terms, raising awareness about human rights and educating women on conserving the nature through reforestation campaigns .
Our goals are summarized as:
1. Environment and social development of children, youth and women.
2. Economic and environmental empowerment of women
3- prevention of violence against women and early child marriage
We accomplish these goals by having numerous workshops, projects and activities over the course of the years, with several local, national and international NGOs with women and Youth in East and West Bekaa.
The organization’s activities are focused on the following topics:
- Human Rights
- Child protectin
- Environment protection.
Our Vision
Sawa For development strive to establish a future that fulfill with equity, in which all women will be viewed and treated equally as men, in all aspects of life. Having a clean environment through waste management workshops and planting trees campaigns.
Our Mission
Sawa For development mission is to attain gender-equality in a democratic Pa society, to which end we focus our efforts on promoting the social, environmental , economical development of women and girl’s, including advocating for women’s rights and cimate change , eliminating discrimination against women including GBV, advancing women’s capacities and leadership skills to climate change effects , amplifying their existence in the community as active members.
Our Work
Sawa For development work addresses the discrimination, marginalisation, poverty and human rights violation for all people and especially women and girls and those with disability and special needs. We work with all people, with a focus on people with critical situations who are in vulnerable and marginalised. Our four key roles are to educate and empower, advocate, promote social ,environmental and development delivering high and effective quality programs.
